I SEE YOU

Title: "I See You"

To agree that I'm blind,
Is to aggree that I see more than you think.
I see the vigor of your roaring silence,
the way justice limps like a broken man begging on the street.
I see the heavy hands that write laws in daylight but breaks them in the dark.

Sight is true power, but what a pity..
those with the eyes turn away
when truth stands naked in my village square.
You see colors,
but not the lines drawn between us...
You see light,
but do you see the shadows that swallow the weak?

I should be grateful, for seeing from my world of darkness,
but tell me—
who is truly blind?
The man who cannot see the sun,
or the one who ignores the storm?

I feel your world of injustice,
run my hands across its cracks,
heard the whispers of rights turned into echoes of chaos that later
fade before they reach the ears of those in power.

I'm blind, but will not be silent.
My voice will rise like a rush dust in the dry season.
Though I may not see your face,
but I see your lies.
I may not see your world,
but I feel its wounds.

And if justice has eyes,
then let it open them now.
